The history of Company's development 

   The history of the Company begins with the establishment of Construction Directorate (CD) "SulakGESstroy" in 1953. 

   CD "SulakGESstroy" provided the activation of 2 units of Chiryurtovskaya HPP-1 with the capacity of 2 - 72MW. This hydroelectric complex includes: gravel-pebble dam - length 48m, coast spillway with input 3000m3/sec, service canal, forebay, metal turbine water conduits and Powerhouse.

   In 1963 CD "SulakGESstroy" was reorganized into CD "ChirkeiGESstroy". 

   On the 21st of December 1974 the first unit of Chirkeiskaya HPP was taken under industrial load and since June 1976 Chirkeiskaya hydro has been working with the complete installed capacity - 1 billion kW.

   In December 1984 the first unit of Miatlinskaya HPP was put into operation and the second unit in 1986.  

   In 1993 CD "ChirkeiGESstroy" was incorporated and reorganized into open joint-stock company (JSC) "ChirkeiGESstroy".

   On the 22nd of December 1998 the first unit of Irganaiskaya HPP was put into operation and on the 10th of December 2001 the second unit.  The capacity of each unit is 107 MW.

   In September 2006 the second stage of Irganaiskaya HPP's construction was finished, in August 2008 the 3rd stage of construction and was input of 2 units.

   In December 2006 the river Vakhsh in Republic of Tajikistan was blocked. In a year building-and-assembly jobs on the first hydropower unit of Sangtudinskaya HPP-1 were completed. Input of the first unit was held on the 20th of January 2008, input of the 2nd in July 2008 and input of the 3rd in November 2008.

   The Company accomplished works on preparatory stage of Gotsatlinskaya HPP's construction in 2007.

   In 2008 JSC "ChirkeiGESstroy" began the construction of Zaramagskaya HPP's power intake.
